MS in Computer Networks & Communications

An MS program consists of 30 credit hours after 16 years of engineering/sciences education. For the program, the students are required to complete a minimum of 6 courses of 18 credit hours (as major) specified for the desired area of specialization. Remaining 4 courses of 12 credit hours can be undertaken from any area of specialization (as minor) under any MS program including its own area of specialization in consultation with the supervisor. A student may opt for a thesis of 6 credit hours in lieu of 2 minor courses. Hence there are two options in all MS programs:

(i) MS by course work having 6 major and 4 minor courses. Total 10 courses of 30 credit hours.

(ii) MS by research work having 6 major, 2 minor courses and 1 thesis of 6 credit hours. Total 30 credit hours.

All the students with option (i) above, are additionally required to qualify a comprehensive examination as their degree requirement.

ELIGIBILITY:

Students having BS in Computer Science (04 years) and BE in Electronics / Electrical / Telecommunication / Industrial Electronics / Computer Systems are eligible for admission.
